How to tell your kids that what you've been teaching them for years is not the truth?

Be humble and honest. I apologize to my kids when I make a mistake because I want to acknowledge that it was infact a mistake and that I don’t want them to imitate that behavior. Reaffirm the things that you did get right. Talk about how loving god is and how satisfying it is to make an effort to be his friend. Show them that even if you didn’t get it right last time your not gonna stop trying and that they shouldn’t either.
