John 4:1–3 Now when Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that Jesus was making and baptizing more disciples than John (although Jesus himself did not baptize, but only his disciples), he left Judea and departed again for Galilee.

I have never heard anyone ever address this passage.

Anyone ever consider why it was that Yeshua did not baptize anyone? If there is any passage that said he ever did, I have not read it.

There are several reasons why Jesus did not perform the actual baptisms. He was training the disciples for their future ministries as Apostles and when they raised up churches then passed the baptizing to others and devoted themselves to preaching the gospel.

Perhaps because Jesus did not want undue emphasis placed on the person performing the baptism instead of the meaning behind baptism.

The symbolism of being dead and then being resurrected was not yet fulfilled by the actual death and resurrection of Jesus.

I do like your response as it seems logical and practical. Of course, during that period of time, shall I suppose the baptisms back then were of repentance but not the removal of sins? I mean, they were the same as the Baptism of John.

The baptism of John we know was for repentance only. Acts 19:4 The original disciples believed in the one who came after John and they spent 3 years believing and being taught by Jesus. As Acts 18:1,2 these disciples did not have the advantage of being taught by Christ and were not even aware of the Holy Spirit . This happened after the death and resurrection of Jesus and therefore they were baptized in the name of Jesus just as the disciples who traveled with Jesus also baptized. The command in Acts 2:38 was repent and be baptized. The original 12 disciples repented and believed in the one who came after John and when the day of Pentecost came they were given the Holy Spirit. Jesus told them , John 14:17 , the spirit was with them but not yet in them.

In ancient times the sign of circumcision would be fulfilled by Christ being baptized for them. Romans 15:8 As the promised seed of Abraham Jesus was baptized to fulfill all righteousness, the righteousness of GOD by faith that the ancient Christians had. This is how men like Abraham, who was never baptized in the name of Christ became confirmed. In a similar sense the early original disciples who lived with Christ went through the process.
