Emotional Simply Christian Buddy Program

One of the reasons for starting this site is to help those newly exiting their high control religion and seeking help and new friendships. We can all be supportive in our replies to each other keeping the mind of Christ above all else. However, sometimes we need one on one help or to develop a one on one relationship with someone.

I've been personally speaking to one or two new people each day as a result of my outreach efforts and those of others but that is not sustainable and many have asked if they could help. So we thought using the private message function of this discussion board would work as a great way to link sponsees with sponsors.

Once you meet you can decide to contact each other via phone or other methods.

If you would like to be buddied up with a sponsor send me a private message by clicking on my profile pic and click "start conversation". Or if you see someone posting and it says "Buddy" under their profile pick that means they have volunteered to be a sponsor (buddy). Just click on their profile pick and "start conversation" and tell them you're looking for a buddy or sponsor.

If you'd like to be a sponsor send me a private conversation message and I'll add you to our private forum and buddy listing.

If you are anyone you know is in need of a buddy - i.e. someone to be with you one on one as you progress from your journey out of WT (or another high-control group) into their your new Christian freedom - please have them send me a private message.

It is wonderful to see such a huge response. I have wanted to help others by offering a listening ear, to attempt to console someone else even if only sharing a small word of comfort with them. I have felt hampered by the organization in my ability to do this. Helping the overlooked and undervalued members of the congregation was given lip service but not valued in practice. I appreciate the chance to try to help others now.

Hello good people. I'm not too sure how to negotiate this site with all the different rooms and so forth however I would happy to be a part of the buddy program.
Even though I live on the East coast of Australia and may be on a very different timeline from most people I am happy to communicate by email. So if you think it is appropriate I am happy for people to email me directly and I will try to get back to them as quick as possible.
I know what it feels like when a person finally 'wakes up' and how confused one might be, wondering what one now needs to do.
I don't know how it can happen but if someone who reads this would like to email me or have my email posted somewhere else where others can see it and respond to it then you are very welcome.

Hello, as of 3 wks ago- I have woken up.... I've decided to fade out and NOT return when the KHs reopen. I would very much like a Buddy to help me find my new Christian faith. I once left JWs for a very long time and basically felt agnostic/athiest. I don't want to go there this time. Help!

Hello Lori! I would love to connect with either you or Frank regarding the buddy program just to have a conversation I’m attending different churches now would love to connect with somebody. I also have a nine-year-old son who Lives with my ex and her and her family are 100% in the religion. Are super difficult navigating that relationship they’re trying to get him baptized so frustrating. I look forward to hearing from you soon and meeting you or Frank. Thank you so much!

Hi everyone...Im also recently a member and the same as Victory have decided not to return to the Khall if they reopen. My wakeup has been gradual and steady since 2014 and born from a lot of research into the Org. But I find myself distrusting everything while at the same time wanting to explore personal rship with a personal redeemer in Christ. I would likewise welcome teaming up with someone who can assist me to reground myself, so to speak, and help me to see a way forward. Thanks for all your contributions and input!
