I too was doing the same thing as the WCG was radically changing Armstrongs doctrines. Something else accompanies this but may not always be recognized and that is the still small voice in the mind that is mistaken for your own. Here I was trying to prove the exact opposite of what the voice was saying thus indicating the voice was not mine along with what the voice said. This voice led me to scriptures that disproved what I was trying to prove. This frightened me at first but in time I learned to trust this voice. After my conversion the voice became such as if it were a part of me and to this day is yet with me. The voice is of Christ by the power of his God. God takes of what belongs to Jesus and gives it through Christ to the church. John 16:14-15 , John 14:21-23 , John 14:18 All the saints experience this voice but to identify it is not always easy.
