In Revelation 22:9 , Revelation 22:8 , identifies the one speaking to John as an angel. Young’s literal describes this being as a messenger. Revelation 22:8 YLT . Revelation 22:9
this being says he is a fellow servant and that he was of the prophets and of those who keep the words of this scroll or book, referring to the book of Revelation. We know that this was a vision of the future as the being Speaking to John was a glorified being, but was he an angel or a glorified human being ? Well, angels have no need to keep the words of the Revelation scroll. Angels are not fellow servants or fellow prophets. I think this being was a glorified human just as are the 24 elders in Revelation 4:4 YLT . The saints are in white and have a crown and so are these elders . What do you think ?

Looking at the verses between Rev 21:9 to the end of Revelation, all that is spoken up until 22:8 were by "one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues" described in Rev 21:9. The translators, I suppose, were attempting to add clarity to chapter 22 by changing the word "he" into "the angel."

Then, in verse 22:6, we are told that "And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel ." Simply put, I see only a "messenger" who then speaks for Yeshua. The indication which follows contains the messenger's declaration that he is "I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets,."

Considering that this messenger is one of the seven angels (as stated in 21:9), I have no inclination to think he was a glorified human being.

Now this is the kind of communication that more here need to join. It is through the sharing of ideas and the peaceful discussion of them in love that is the fertile ground of growth.

I think it is an angel as said in Revelation 1:1 "This is the revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants what must soon come to pass. He made it known by sending His angel to His servant John,"

And I think angels are very interested in all words of the scrolls: 1 Peter 1:10-12 in Berean Study Bible says: "Concerning this salvation, the prophets who foretold the grace to come to you searched and investigated carefully, 11 trying to determine the time and setting to which the Spirit of Christ in them was pointing when He predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories to follow. 12 It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves, but you, when they foretold the things now announced by those who preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things."
Besides that Hebrews 1:14 says: "Are not the angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?"
And also in the angels play a significant part in the end times.
Matthew 13:39 and the enemy who sows them is the devil. The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are angels."
Just some of my thoughts.

Very good Diana S. Thank you for your comment. How about the 24 elders with the crowns , dressed in white ? Who do you think they may be ?
