Redemption – Who Am I?

By Vince Finnegan

Who you were - Romans 3:10-18

What you did - Ephesians 2:1-3, 11, 12 “Nature” is the basic or inherent
features. The nature of a dog is to be friendly with people; the nature of a
lion is very different. The nature of humans is sinful.

Why you were this way - Romans 5:12-21 You cannot fix yourself.

Who you are now - Romans 3:23-24 “Propitiation” is the act of gaining
the favor of or making things right with someone, especially after having
done something wrong.

Ephesians 1:7, 14; Col. 1:13-14

Because you are redeemed, you are a new creation, reconciled to God, at
peace with Him. 1 Corinthians 1:30; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21; 3:18

What you do now - Galatians 6:14-18; 5:13-17 You are what God says
you are, not how you feel or think.

Why the change - God’s grace and mercy through Jesus Christ, the
miracle of the new birth

What a world of difference with what we were subjected to in watchtower.
Selfreflect and what we are willing to think about reality and who we are was not possible really in the conformatistic, narcissistic system that watchtower is.
Thinking and reading the Bible for myself, with the Spirit, without the influence of that cult and trying to change in christian freedom feels so completely different now. I feel I grow spiritually now in my new identity in Christ.
Coming to realize that I am in fact annointed and a child of my God with the help of the Spirit through a new, so dear friend gives a joy I never imagined.
