By Vince Finnegan
Who you were - Romans 3:10-18
What you did - Ephesians 2:1-3, 11, 12 “Nature” is the basic or inherent
features. The nature of a dog is to be friendly with people; the nature of a
lion is very different. The nature of humans is sinful.
Why you were this way - Romans 5:12-21 You cannot fix yourself.
Who you are now - Romans 3:23-24 “Propitiation” is the act of gaining
the favor of or making things right with someone, especially after having
done something wrong.
Ephesians 1:7, 14; Col. 1:13-14
Because you are redeemed, you are a new creation, reconciled to God, at
peace with Him. 1 Corinthians 1:30; 2 Corinthians 5:14-21; 3:18
What you do now - Galatians 6:14-18; 5:13-17 You are what God says
you are, not how you feel or think.
Why the change - God’s grace and mercy through Jesus Christ, the
miracle of the new birth
