General PSALM 2

Does anyone here know what this Psalm is about ?
The downfall of human government - specifically kings. (Verse 10) Governments that are not in line with the will of God will fall. Verse 11 specifically names Yahweh - not Lord.

Verse 12 is instruction to heed the words of the Son of God.

Is it only kings or monarchs that will fall ? Are their any world governments in line with the will of GOD ? Are there any governments that heed the words of Christ ?

I think that "authority figures" can be used in place of "kings" and that state or national governments could as well. I doubt that any group that establishes itself as a formal entity with a leader will manage to "heed the words of Christ." Corruption will occur in one form or another because of the imperfection of man. We are too self-centered from birth to totally eliminate that from our psyche.
The path to perfection has an end, but the end will not be on this world.

What is the path to perfection ?

Isaiah 3:12 Proverbs 1:15
Proverbs 4:11 Proverbs 3:6
Hebrews 12:13 Psalm 23:3
Psalm 27:11 Jeremiah 6:16
Psalm 1:1 Matthew 7:13,14
Psalm 119:101
The word path and way are Strongs #G3598 and H1870 have the same meaning. Studying this "path to perfection " is very enlightening. Psalm 2:1,2 The nations are against YAHWEH and HIS Christ. They are not on the path to perfection. This path to perfection is , Matthew 7:13,14

This path to perfection requires constant attention, as we individuals living in the unbelieving world are exposed to daily conflict between those things the world does and the things that we should do.

All those years when Yahweh called His people to remain separate from the unbelieving societies so they would not be corrupted - and yet eventually they intermixed anyway. Israel failed time and time again to remain pure.

2 Corinthians 6 seems to be justification for establishing our own communities and building a wall to keep us separate from the things of this world where we would not have to endure the problems spoken of in that chapter.

Verses 17 and 18: "Therefore go out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.”

The difficulty in doing that is that there are so few true believers, and claiming to be a "true believer" is easy. Being one and going out from among them is not simple.

I do think that the attempt to be "out from among them" has a lot to do with all these denominations. Each denomination is an attempt to be the ones who know the truth. They have managed to make Yeshua divided. Each group has a different concept of truth and religious practices, and eventually, a different Gospel.

This is true of everything in the world. Science, economics, education, religion, entertainment, the media and politics. Nothing has escaped the influence of spiritual wickedness in high places. 2 Corinthians 6:17,18 is not just about religion. It is about everything in this world.

Ancient israel became infected by the same spiritual wickedness as we deal with today. They rejected YAHWEH and desired a human king. Their actions are a warning to the church to not do the same. We have been bought with a price, the sacrifice of the son of God, God owns us we are slaves to Him and His son. At our conversion we died to this carnal life in the world in order to become the sons of God. The commitment we made is total and complete and there can be no turning back. We are totally dependent on God for all things. Our faith, Hope and trust in Him only and in nothing in the world. This is what coming out from among them and being separate means. To whom much is given much is required.

The difficult line to see is the point where dependence on myself and dependence on God occurs. That point seems blurry. I seem to be having more chats with myself over this, because overcoming who I used to be takes conscious effort.

I am watching current events, as I want to know how things are shaping up. Even Yeshua warning His people that they will see signs in order to know when to run.

The two trees in Eden symbolize the two covenants, one death the other other immortality. Under the old covenant everyone dies because the wages of sin is death but in the new we passover into life. Jesus spoke of these two trees saying that the bad tree, of death, cannot produce any good fruit and the life tree cannot produce any bad fruit. The entire unconcerned world is in the tree of death, under the law. The church is not of their tree. The world yet eats from the tree of death. The saints eat of the tree of life. We must eat the flesh of the son of man and drink his blood else we have no life. Jesus is the tree of immortality. There is a great gulf fixed between these two trees so that neither permits the passage of one to the other unless YAHWEH draws a person to HIS son. When this happens there is no going back to the death tree unless one commits the unpardonable sin. The two trees are complete opposites with no mingling in any way. Watch what the world does to see the fruit of it. The consider the fruit of immortality, Christ.

We become a new creation in Christ when we are given the holy spirit. Then you are not yourself, not your own, being bought with a price. GOD owns you. HE has made a investment in you and expects a return, to whom much is given. Be of good cheer , Jesus has overcome the world and has already won the victory. If we remain in him we are more than conquers with him.

While we all grow spiritually we do not all grow exactly the same. GOD deals with Outcast as Outcast, with all that Outcast has been. GOD deals with Lee as Lee and all that I have been. GOD deals with us individually but as a church collectively. We are at different stages of growth but all headed in the same direction.
