Former Jehovah's Witnesses In The Netherlands started a lawsuit against disfellowshipping and shunning, similar to the one in Belgium that was won. (which could create a precedent. Very important. )

Dutch newspaper article:

I signed 2 petitions recently for the Dutch government to look in to. One against disfellowshipping and shunning and one to stop their Dutch ANBI status ( is een algemeen nut beogende instelling) public benefit institution status. Similar to charity status.
'With the termination of the ANBI status, certain tax benefits for your institution will expire. We can check whether gift tax has been paid on the donations with the donation and asset data that you provide to us. It is also possible that the gifts are exempt from gift tax. What happens if you don't pass on the data? If we do not receive your data, we may impose a fine on you'. The tax limit is 25.000 Euro's.
All hopes that this will go globaly ofcourse!

Petitions to be found on Dutch Reddit (I think only Dutch citizen's names legally count or when you are from Europe, but I'm not sure)
