The abundance of manuscripts, copies, commentaries, translations, and then translations of translations still shows how people, and particularly male persons, have manipulated the texts to suit their particular agendas. As time has progressed the evidence for criticism has abounded. These criticisms need to be answered sufficiently to engender confidence that we can be guided correctly by the original ideas, and recover the earliest teachings of Jesus and the apostles/ disciples of our Lord.

Care is required to be sure that insisting a scripture verse should be understood only in the way it appears in any particular copy of a manuscript.

Well said! I have learned these things over the years AFTER being trained for ministry and in "Scriptural Studies." It turned my local church world upside down.
