What does glory mean biblically?

The Hebrew word which is used for glory in the Old Testament has the simple meaning of "heaviness" or "weight". It was used in everyday speech to express the worth of a person in the material sense, and then to express the ideas of importance, greatness, honour, splendour, power, and so on.

As one star differs in glory from another so also is the resurrection of the dead. 1 Corinthians 15:41,42 Spiritually speaking glory or being glorified is to be changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye. The change from flesh to spirit, from human being to spirit being. The degree of glorification in the spirit realm is compared to the stars. Not a glory the same, but all glory. The saints that have grown spiritually to a high degree will be glorified to a high degree.
