I thank you for your prayer. I know of a few others who realize that deception has been forced upon congregations for a very long time, but they keep it a secret. Social acceptance is a powerful force.Outcast, it is my belief that when God calls and chooses people HE tends to do so in small groups but if someone is physically alone God and Christ are always with you and will never forsake you. It is my observation that you will not find these brethren in any organization, a 501C3, and they will not be large in number. Jesus gave the sign of how to know his disciples when he said, “by this shall all men know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” These saints are not out trying to gain members or preaching the gospel, they live quite and peaceable lives keeping themselves unspotted from the world. They keep no days and do not participate in politics or join some Earthly cause. They love God and their neighbor. They are not perfect but know perfection will come when in the kingdom of God. I will join you in prayer that you will find what you seek.
It is sad, isn't it? Believing that truth will hurt the church is a contradiction of the statement that the truth will "set you free." I think the truth can result in stronger and a more solidly based faith. You are correct. A survey was conducted among various pastors or ministers from different churches and a large percentage indicated that some things they taught they did not believe themselves. Many know that the soul is not immortal but after teaching it is for well over a thousand years it would look bad if they came out with the truth eroding
trust in the church.
Deception, false doctrine and lies all have one thing in common, the force behind them all is Satan. One of the chief methods of operation by Satan is to recruit from humanity men and women who he has deceived to get a following after themselves, a church, and they then preach the deception, false doctrine and lies and since there is a mindset in people to accept the unscriptural organization of todays churches, that have one person in charge who does all the speaking and is thought to be some great person of God , the people soak it up without putting forth any effort to prove what was said.
