Over the summer, I watched the assembly. They cut out ALL prayer in the videos. Not one prayer to Jehovah. I asked a JW couple why the governing body stopped praying at the assemblies... no answer of course. I thought, "Soon, they will cut God right out of their talks." Which is happening. When I would record at meetings several brothers told me never to record prayers - I never understood why - perhaps there is an unwritten rule to not record prayers - like it's disrespectful or something?
That could be, Lori. Good point. It's a shame for those who are disabled and can not sit or go to an assembly. For years before Covid, brothers and sisters would audio record for me and I heard the prayers. I believe prayer is most important, especially in a group setting. All other Christian videos I watch, pray to God, except for the JWs. Sad that they don't think we all need prayer. I agree - there is power in group prayer - like it's amplified. I'm happy you have zoom meetings now with us!
