I Also was RE-BAPTIZED...WHY????

Getting Re-Baptized seemed like an odd word for me for quite a while. It seemed confusing to many but still it's what I did and I will never regret that decision. I started out a Catholic which included some 'sprinkling'. But after 8 yrs of catholicism, I was mad! Mad at God. Mad at all the control. Mad at all the contradictions between the priests and the nuns. From there straight to atheism for another 14 yrs. Then to the Church of Christ where I guess I was baptized 'correctly' by immersion but again I was baptized in the trinity and when I found out the truth much later well that was quite annoying. Certainly, someone somewhere would know the truth so I left the church of christ and did home fellowships for the next 10 yrs and finally, I was awakened from my spiritual coma and found a great bunch of people who were trying to find the truth of Gods word also. I thought I was awake but holy Cow I had no idea!
We began to study anew which led up to our first conference in 2007. More study took place and by 2009 I was totally beyond doubt that I had been baptized (at the moment the right thing) but now I was so totally convicted by Mark 1: 15 “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news." l prayed and made the decision that even though I had been sprinkled and then later I had been baptized into the trinity but I had never been baptized into the truth about the KINGDOM of GOD message. Jesus himself said Lk 4:43. That part really bugged me. How come they kept talking about death, burial, and resurrection but
never said anything about Jesus coming again and nothing of a new kingdom on a renewed earth. The prophets shouted about it in the old testament so it was clearly said. So that just did not jive in 'church'? Something was definitely askew!!
Jesus mentioned the Gospel of the Kingdom and all those parables verified what he was saying yet Churches seem to be more interested in the "MIDDLE GOSPEL" which is when Jesus explains he is going to suffer and die but he will be resurrected. It was NOT UNTIL 16 chapters later did he talk about his death, burial, and resurrection which are also very much part of the Kingdom message. But to me, they have the horse before the cart...I had to fix that and immediately!!! So I continue to pray and study until the next conference in 2007 because another of my main points was I wanted very much to be baptized with my like-minded believers. I want to pledge allegiance to Jesus not some church system. It was so very important to me and to Carol who was in this with all the way.
This brings me to what I want to share with you. My forever friend and I were baptized into the TRUTH via the
Chattahoochee River in Georgia despite the mama swans wanting their space and the cottonmouth on the rock! WE
didn't care! The occasional canoe or swimming children did not matter or that Cotton Mouth!

I would like to share with you what was asked of us as we were baptized. It meant so much. Dustin Smith and another young man baptized us, I guess they wanted to be sure not to lose in the rapids!
These are the questions Dustin asked of each of us:
Dustin said, 1. Do you believe that God, our heavenly Father, is the sole creator of the universe?
2. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is His Son, miraculously created in the womb of Mary and
that Jesus died on the cross 2000 years ago and do you believe Jesus was raised to
to eternal life on the 3rd day?
3. DO believe that he is coming back again to give us new bodies and to establish
the kingdom of God on this earth?
4. Do you commit yourself to follow his commands & words found in the Scriptures?

Now my faith is sure and unshakeable Heb 11:1 We have
this HOPE as an anchor for our souls, firm and secure...." AMEN n AMEN

Hi Judy, I know what it feels like to have been baptized into the trinity. When it dawned on me many years later that I had been baptized to an idol, as an infant, then I was re-baptized into the truth.
