Zechariah 4:6 , the might and power here is referring to human might and power. This was involving the building of a physical temple, but the spiritual implications of this verse, which was a shadow of the good things to come in Christ, are made clear by the preaching of the Apostle Paul. 1 Corinthians 3:9 , 1 Corinthians 6:19 With the light of Christ the shadows disappear revealing the true substance. God does not dwell in temples made with hands, by men, but in temples made by God, human beings. This temple is built by God and not men. Your power and might has nothing to do with the building of the true temple, you. Everything that has to do with the hope of salvation is by the Holy Spirit, you can do nothing. Jesus told us we can do nothing except through him as he is the mediator between us and God. The presence of the Spirit of God in you is able to perform and finish the work HE began in you. Philippians 1:6 While Christians do have the responsibility to yield, submit and obey all of this is to the Spirit of God. Ephesians 4:30 , 1 Thessalonians 5:19 , Philippians 2:13 . To even have the will or desire in us to yield, submit and obey God comes from God. Therefore, to view anyone, man or woman, as some great person of God who you think is more connected to God than you are is a great error. IF YOU HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT THEN YOU ARE CONNECTED TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST. Your growth in the Spirit is directly proportional to your faith in and love for your God and Messiah. The only limit to your growth would be your own failures to submit, yield and obey, to quench or grieve the precious gift given you. No preacher of this world has anything over you, you have everything over them. They are fakers, pretenders who preach false gospels and false Christs. I pray they do this in ignorance and not with knowledge. In ignorance God will forgive but in knowledge God will not forgive. No human being can be your teacher and those who think they can usurp the power of the Holy Spirit who truly is the teacher. The only way, ONLY WAY, for ANYONE to know ANYTHING spiritual is by THE HOLY SPIRIT OF THE FATHER. It has always been this way. The prophets, Jesus , the Apostles and all the church are taught by the Holy Spirit. NOT BY MIGHT NOR BY POWERBUT BY MY SPIRIT SAYS GOD ALMIGHTY.

There is a gift given to those who have the Holy Spirit, the gift of discernment of spirits. 1 John 4:1 , 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 In the current world there is much deception and by this gift of discernment we can identify the deceivers. I stressed above how the Holy Spirit is the only way anyone can know spiritual things, the truth of God. Even between two people who both have the Holy Spirit, one matured and one a babe in Christ, it will still be the Holy Spirit that teaches. Jesus Christ, the son of the Almighty God, taught for 3 1/2 years to thousands of people yet only 120 were in the upper room on the day of Pentecost. What does that tell you about how many are truly called and chosen ? It should speak volumes. Paul said that while he planted and Apollos watered only God could give the increase. 1 Corinthians 3:6 , only Gods Holy Spirit could give the understanding of the words preached.
It will sound incredible, it will seem to many to be a lie but the number of true Christians that have existed is exceedingly small. Habakkuk 1:1-4 , Psalm 11:3 The enemy of God, Satan, has been at work to blind the eyes of understanding to the message of the gospel. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 . If this was happening in Paul’s day what about today. The deception has only grown more serious since then encompassing millions who think they are Christians when they are not. How many in this age will experience salvation, let Jesus give you the answer. Luke 13:23-30 , Matthew 7:14 , Matthew 20:16 , Matthew 7:21-23 . Did Jesus speak the truth? If so, then why should any doubt him or one who agrees with him.
Jesus and the Apostles shared their experiences with God in the form of preaching, telling others about the knowledge they received. I cannot teach you, the Apostles can not teach you and Jesus could not teach you, THE HOLY SPIRIT IS YOUR TEACHER. It is God who determines who in this current age will be Christians and also in the ages to come. Men have nothing to do with this. Please do not neglect the precious gift you have been given by not being fully aware of the awesomeness of the power you have been connected to through Jesus Christ our Lord.
