I saw the video of Billy Graham preaching about the Sabbath. Billy knows nothing about the law or grace and this is proven by his mixing the two covenants together. The old covenant was not designed to supply salvation else we would not need a new covenant. Because the old was only a shadow of the new and had no substance people without the Holy Spirit think the shadow is the substance. To fulfill anything means to have accomplished what came before, if you fulfill your mortgage obligations then your payments are over and you don’t continue paying.
Jesus fulfilled the law, all of it, not by performing it’s commanded laws but by YAHWEHS love. Love is the fulfillment of the law. The works of the law can never produce the righteousness required for the kingdom of GOD. IF righteousness came from the law then Christ died for nothing. Galatians 2:21 If only the righteous wil inherit the kingdom and the law does not provide righteousness then how can the law provide salvation ? 1 Corinthians 6:9 Matthew 6:33 Psalm 37:29 Matthew 5:20
Law keepers, just like ancient Israel , think keeping the law gave them righteousness and so did the Apostle Paul before he came to Christ. Romans 9:30,31,32,33 Philippians 3:9 I came out of a very powerful deception over 30 years ago when I was a member of the Worldwide Church of GOD. This law keeping deception is based on scriptures that are shadows, that is physical things that only symbolized spiritual things. The law was not the substance no more than your shadow is you. Christ was the substance and illuminates the shadows to reveal the true spiritual meaning of what the law only symbolizes. No one will have salvation based on symbols or shadows. Law and grace are diametrically opposed to each other, one is death the other is life for the letter of the law kills but the spirit is what gives life.
The argument Billy Graham gives in support of the sabbath of the law yet remaining is true because Jesus did not abolish the law but rather provided a new covenant that through Jesus we can PASSOVER from death to life escaping the law’s condemnation and enter the new covenant that enables us to draw near unto GOD. IF a person wants to die then become a law keeper and you will die for the wages of sin is death but if you want to live you must give up the law and rely on faith In Christ. When your faith is in Christ you become GODS workmanship, GOD works you don’t, HE works in you with HIS love that will fulfill any law that exists. It’s you work in the law or GOD works in you. A Christian is in a lifetime sabbath, resting from trying to keep a law they can never keep to in faith have GOD work in them and HE who began a good work in you is able to complete it in the day of Christ Jesus. This law keeping deception in the future is what Satan uses to deceive the entire world. Revelation 12:9 There is a temple, there are sacrifices by calling fire down from heaven and a false prophet, the number of king Solomon, the number of a man, is Satans making an image of the beast or todays Israel restored to Solomons glory. The unconverted world will marvel and follow the beast. For me personally this is the Worldwide Church of GOD on steroids.
