Matthew 13:10-17 Matthew 13:34 Luke 8:10 The Father draws people to His son. John 6:44 The Father knows who to call and when to call them.
Since God is not willing for any to perish but come to repentance He chooses based on His omniscient power. God has known in eternity from cradle to grave every thought, word and deed of all humanity. Today is not the only day of salvation, because the kingdom of God is like leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till it was all leavened, the three measures are here and now, the millennium and second resurrection.
Each one in the order that God places them in to assure they have the best opportunity to achieve salvation. So Jesus spoke in parables to hide the truth from those God was not going to call and choose in this current age. 2 Peter 3:9 This is what predestination is. God predestined their time for conversion but not their ultimate fate, although He has know it. People who are cast into the lake of fire, which is the second death, make their own free will choice in this matter. Just because God knows all things doesn’t mean He causes them. God has two wills, direct and indirect. Direct is God causing and doing, indirect is God letting things play out as He has always known they would. Paul tells us that while he planted and Apollos watered God gave the increase 1 Corinthians 3:6-8 Many preachers today think they increase when the do not even plant or water. Many think they must fulfill the great commission when they do not even know it and do not realize that the Apostles already did. The scriptures were not written for the world but for the church. The Holy Spirit is the teacher and interpreter of the truth contained in scripture which is like a gigantic parable only understood by those who have been called and chosen by Almighty God.
