Jesus' preexistence means that he existed before he came to earth. The Bible speaks of Jesus being at the side of the Father. His position was of one who was preeminent over all creation. Scripture also speaks of his previous glory. He laid aside that glory when he came to earth as a human.

1 Peter 1:20 Peter is saying that Jesus was predicted or was a prophetic figure in the old covenant writings but was manifested or made know by being born a human being IN THESE LAST TIMES FOR YOU. Acts 2:23. The kingdom on Earth was preordained but not preexisting, Matthew 25:34 Predestination is not preexisting, Romans 8:29 Jesus was preordained, foreknown , predicted not preexisting.
The prophets wrote about Christ being born, was he before his birth GOD, the second member of a trinity or binary GOD, was he an angel, if neither then what was he ?
There are scriptures that due to bad translations or carnal thinking are used to “prove” that Jesus preexisted.
The human spirit of Jesus was created by THE FATHER and all human spirits are too. In this sense we all came from heaven and at death the spirit returns to GOD in heaven and unconsciously awaits a resurrection.
John 17:5 the glory I had with you is a bad translation as the Greek indicates “kept in store, on hold” , being glorified was promised to Christ when he completed his mission. John 17:4 Jesus is asking his FATHER to glorify him with the glory that was promised and on hold for him after accomplishing his FATHERS will on Earth. The phrase “I had” is Strongs G2192 that allows “to have in store “ , “to hold” .
Was Jesus eternal as GOD is eternal or was Jesus the very first creation of GOD ? Was Jesus the creator or was GOD ? If Jesus was not created and had no beginning would that not make him GOD ?
It must be very seriously considered that the Catholic Church had total control of most of the scriptures and since they declared Jesus GOD they had to alter certain scriptures to support the trinity. Preexistence is only one false doctrine that supports the trinity.
