The conversation between Jesus and Pilate contains information that is vital for the saints to understand.
John 18:33-38 , Jesus said that everyone that is of the truth hears his voice. Ephesians 4:20-21 , if indeed you have heard him and have been taught by him. When Jesus said that all power in heaven and Earth had been given to him this does not mean that the Father abdicated His omnipotence to Jesus. It meant that Jesus was given access to use that power in the continuance of the work his Father and he are yet doing. As mediator Jesus is our link to the Father. When we hear a voice it is Jesus because no man at ANY TIME has seen God or even heard His voice. Jesus speaks for his Father to us by the power his Father has given to him to use. The same will be true of the saints when born into the kingdom as kings and priests to rule and teach the people that we serve as Elohim.
Today we hear by the Fathers Holy Spirit the truth taught to us by Jesus Christ. I have heard this voice many times in my 30 years since conversion. Scripture says the truth shall set you free, free from what, lies and deceptions. The elect saints cannot be deceived, it is not possible, because if Jesus teaches the truth then no lie or deception has a chance. We are told to try the spirits to see if they are of God or not. This means human or angelic but how is this done; by their fruits and their words, what they teach and believe. If they know the truth they will be in agreement with all the saints but if not then they have not heard the voice of Christ and are not of Christ. Their deeds, works and practices also can reveal who they are of. We must have our sense of spiritual discernment sharpened to know the difference. Hebrews 5:14 A Christian babe, one who is weak in the faith needs to grow into a mature Christian no longer in need of milk but strong meat and it is this type of Christian who by use and practice has learned to discern good and evil spirits. This is one reason why Paul forbid appointing a new convert into the ministry, 1 Timothy 3:6 , and that the strong should bear the weak. Romans 15:1 It should be reasonable as well as obvious that those who have lived in Christ longer should be more mature than a new convert. Is this not why many honor Anthony Buzzard or brother Kel, who are perceived as being more experienced and knowledgeable ? Are these two alone or could there be more ? Your personal spiritual goal should be to excel beyond these men in your spiritual growth . When it comes to discerning spirits it should not take you more than 5 minutes to determine good or evil. Peter realized instantly that Simon Magus was unconverted, Acts 8:20-23 . By their fruits, their words, deeds, beliefs you should know them. Do they have a strange God, a different Jesus and a false gospel ? Paul said their was a curse upon any man or angel that preached a false gospel. Your spiritual growth is not and should not be in any man. If you grow it will be in Christ by the Holy Spirit of the Father.
