Is Christianity defined by God or by the individual ? If by individuals then you will have many different definitions. If by God there can be only one. That one definition eliminates the many of those who apply their own because it should be the one of God that is true while all others are false. When the Holy Spirit was given on Pentecost did each recipient receive the same Christianity or did each have a different Christianity ? According to Christ those receiving the Spirit are all in unity of the truth. That was almost 2,000 years ago. At that time deception was already at work to pervert what the Spirit gave. We also have warnings from the prophets, Jesus and the Apostles that deception would only increase with the passage of time. Is Christianity united today or divided, do all churches speak the same things, share the same doctrines ? It seems that what was pure when first given is now perverted. What separates the pure from the perverted ? If there is only one pure Christianity then all other forms must be false. There is currently no one today who can answer this question, where is the true Christianity ? This forum is called, Simply Christian, but it appears that there is nothing simple but complex . We are to be searching, exploring and desiring not that complex but that simple. Without a foundation to build on there can be no house. There is to be simplicity in Christ, 2 Corinthians 11:3 , however that is not the case today.
2 Timothy 3:13 , deception is the dominant condition of this world. Is there no one out there somewhere that really knows true and pure Christianity ? If there is a voice it would be drowned in a sea of confusion.

A flood of lies spewed from the mouth of the dragon. This situation seems hopeless except for the Lord God who has a faithful remnant, Revelation 12:17 , Romans 11:5 . A remnant is a small remaining quantity of something, in this case, true and pure Christianity. All of us had better hope that this is the case otherwise, Isaiah 1:9
