What does it mean to be unspotted from the world ? James 1:27 Luke16:15 What men, the world, highly esteems is an abomination to God. A Christian is to not be involved in the way the world views spiritual things. A Christian examines what the world does , the things they highly esteem, and will avoid them totally, completely like the plague. If a Christian doesn’t then they become spotted and an abomination. A Christian is not to adopt, in any way or portion, the worlds concepts of spirituality. This by no way means to isolate ourselves physically but it does mean to isolate ourselves spiritually. Even in ancient Israel God forbid them from being involved in the worship practices of the heathen. Jeremiah 10:2 , Leviticus 18:3 , Deuteronomy 12:30 This same principle is also in the church. Yes, you love your neighbor as yourself but not to being involved in your neighbors religion. By involved I mean practicing either completely or partially their religion. The world will love its own but they do love Jesus or his saints. 2 Timothy 3:12-14 You should know who taught you the things that you know and you are to continue in them and not in those of the world. Do you knowingly participate in some way in the practices of the world because you do not want to be seen as different or strange, you want to fit in ? If so you are compromising with the devil. 2 Timothy 2:19-21 , 1 John 4:5 , John 15:19 Let what scripture says sink in, this is not difficult to understand, it is very plain. James 4:4 , 1 John 2:16 You are not to hate the people of the world, you are to love them as yourself, however you do not, will not engage in any of their religions. We all should examine ourselves and honestly ask and honestly answer the question, am I truly unspotted from the world.

This is a huge challenge for those who desire acceptance by the world around them. Social pressure is a force that is so powerful, even those who know the truth still participate because the idea of walking alone is terrifying.

To whom much is given much , much will be demanded and from one who has been entrusted much more will be asked. Luke 12:48 , Matthew 13:12

I have in the past answered questions about holidays but they have been very few who even ask. I do not preach to people and I do not bring up the subject but on those rare occasions when I have been asked I give an answer. I mention to them what God has given me in good detail and they usually listen in silence then go about doing the same things. On a few occasions they accuse me of not believing in Jesus because I do not keep Christmas. It is the same with any spiritual truth. Unless it is given to them to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God then they will not understand. Teaching the truth of God is only in Gods power, no man can teach another, that is the job of the Holy Spirit, yes they can preach, talk, communicate but God must provide the understanding of the words. You and I are thankful every day that God gave us His son and not just on one day of the year. John gives a way to test the spirits in 1 John 4:5-6 . No one “in the world” can understand you unless it is given to them from God. This is extremely rare and few there be who experience it.

This topic is very deep, and most of those who ask are usually not able nor interested enough to swim. I've wondered just how many of those who claim to be "Christian" delve down deep into available resources to determine what is true and what is simply a denomination's tradition. I usually phrase it as an act of diligently seeking for truth.

Hebrews 11:6 This was the first scripture I read at the beginning of my understanding. Jesus said many are called but few are chosen. I have written articles here about this . If you like read them .
