First let us define universal; Including and covering all without limit or exception. The word universal does not appear in scripture but the word all does. Universal salvation is the idea that all humanity will be in the kingdom of God. God has a book called “the book of life” in which are recorded all the names of those who receive everlasting life. Exodus 32:31-33. Revelation 3:5. Revelation 13:8. Revelation 17:8. Revelation 20:12. Revelation 21:27. Luke 10:20. Psalm 69:28 Malachi 3:16. Philippians 4:3. Daniel 12:1. If a name is blotted out of this book then they will not have life. Salvation has conditions that must be met in order to receive it. This alone proves universal salvation is false because it’s definition states, without limit or exception. We know there is only one name given to hope for salvation. Acts 4:12. Souls that refuse to repent and choose to join Satan after having received the Holy Spirit there remains no more sacrifice for sin. Hebrews 10: 26-27. Matthew 12:31. Luke 12:10. We know a human being is a soul, the combination of dust and breath or body and spirit. Fear Him which is able to destroy both spirit and body in hell. This spirit and body is the total person, the complete soul so if destroyed by God what is left ? Some who teach universalism twist scripture until it breaks and play with the Greek words which have difficulty understanding what a soul is. Some Universalists go even further and say that not only all humans will have salvation but Satan and the fallen angels will too. It comes down to this; how the Holy Spirit speaks to you with wisdom and understanding that goes beyond words to express but at the same time helps us to find the truth. Salvation without limit or exception ?
Universal salvation is a lie, it does away with grace, faith, forgiveness, repentance and mercy, in short it does away with Christ and the gospel. It is equal to Satans lie, thou shall not surely die.
