THE SHADOW BAN

For years, I have warned of coming persecution. The principle goes back thousands of years and is revealed in Isaiah 5:10: "Woe to those who call evil good and good evil." A culture, a civilization, or a nation that deems evil to be good, will deem good to be evil. And so America's fall from God began with the toleration of evil, calling evil good. But that was only the first stage. In the second stage, the viewing of good as evil becomes more prominent. We are now there. We are now witnessing an increasing progression towards censorship, silencing, and attempted abolition of anything and anyone that stands in the way of the new morality - namely traditional values, biblical values, Christians, ministries, the word of God.
At the time of Biden's inauguration, I was led to record a message. It would be labelled: "Jonathan Cahn: Prophetic Message to Joe Biden." It was posted on a Monday morning. By Monday after noon, there were half a million views. We had never seen a video gain so many views so fast. By Tuesday afternoon, it had doubled, breaking a million views.
It was then that we noticed something strange. When one googled to find the video, no result would come up. It was as if the video had vanished. More than that, it was as if it had never existed in the first place. There were others, in that time, who had reposted the video, so their videos came up, but most of these were small and escaped the notice of those who 'run' the web. The main video with over a million views was gone. It was still posted on our youtube account, but no one could now find it. It was apparent that Google was seeking to suppress it. The message wasn't political but spiritual and moral - biblical - and yet it was deemed too dangerous.
The technique is called Shadow Banning. It's when the powers that be seek to ban a message, site, or posting, but do it in such a way that one may be completely unaware that it is being done. In many ways, it's even more dangerous than an outright ban. By this technique, believers may find themselves banned from promotions, jobs, services, speech, etc. and have no idea that forces are manipulating systems in what amounts to covert persecution. It's a sign of what may become more and more common in the days to come.
We are entering new territory. And we must be prepared, stronger in the Lord, more grounded in His word, more filled with His presence. And we must remember that, two thousand years ago, He told us this would happen - and not to fear - He would be with us always - and, in the end, it will be revealed that, all along, we were on the winning side. Make it your aim this month to grow stronger in the power of His might.
