It should be know to all on this forum that Abraham will be in the first resurrection with all the saints at the return of Jesus. Many other old testament people will also be in the kingdom of God. Only the church is the first of humanity to be in the kingdom of God. There were Christians in both covenants. Pentecost was not the beginning of the church and calling of the elect saints. Able, the second son of Adam and Eve, was called righteous Able in Hebrews 11:4 Notice Abel was imputed righteousness by faith and so were all those mentioned by name in Hebrews chapter 11 as well as many others who were not mentioned by name. These people are the root of the olive tree in Romans chapter 11. They were the church in the wilderness, the root of the olive tree. The olive tree itself represents the Pentecost church which began to publicly preach the gospel and lead to the calling of the gentiles that were grafted into the olive tree to replace the unbelieving Israelites. Together all these people are the church, the elect saints. In Revelation 12:13-17 The woman is not carnal Israel but is the church, spiritual Israel, the man child was Jesus . After Jesus was taken to heaven the serpent attacked the woman, the church. The water like a flood that the serpent spewed at the woman was lies, deceptions and confusion and Satan hoped this would sweep the church away. The worldly people, the carnal people of the Earth swallowed up this flood but the elect as Jesus said could not be deceived by the flood. Matthew 24:24 The woman, the church then is taken into the wilderness, the same place the old testament saints lived. Satan then goes after the Laodiceans, the innumerable multitude, and they are martyred. The wilderness is symbolic for the church being seperated from the world, coming out of the world and not being of this world. John 17:14-15 In Revelation 12 we see that God answered the prayer of Jesus. The church today is yet in this wilderness, in the world but not of the world. We are now just as Abraham was. What church did Abraham attend ? What day of the week did Abraham keep ? Who was Abrahams pastor ? How much money did Abraham give to his church ? Did Abraham go out preaching gospel to fulfill the great commission ? Abraham had no inheritance in this world but yet was promised to be heir of the world by God . Romans 4:13 We are just like Abraham , Galatians 3:7 John 8:39 , Romans 4:16 , John 8:56 , Romans 9:8 What Abraham was doing in the wilderness the true church today should be also.
I have written many things about what the true church should be like in these latter days. It is invisible to the people of the churches of this world because it does none of the things they highly esteem. Luke 16:15 The saints are leading quiet and peacable lives and keep themselves unspotted from the world. James 1:26-27 The saints fix their minds on heavenly things, not being carnal minded but spiritual. The saints know that the world lies in wickedness. 1 John 5:19
