This book is: "A Study Of Biblical Monotheism". It is large, it has 532 pages. Another great book on the fact that the Bible is NOT trinitarian but "unyieldingly monotheistic." God's message to humankind is a call to faith in Yahweh, the one and only God of Israel. Monotheism took root in the Law and the Prophets and flourished in the hearts of God's people. Jesus upheld Biblical monotheism when he prayed to his Father, "This is eternal life, that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent."
Eric Chang pays particular attention to the Biblical texts, principally John 1: 1-18, which are typically used to underpin trinitarian doctrine.
Another great book for our libraries to fall back on when we need to figure out how all this happened and what was the real intent, Monotheism, as the scriptures plainly say and the message reinforced by Jesus, the 12 disciples, Paul, and others who clearly heard the message loud and clear. There is only 1 God...the Shema Deut. 6: 4 "The LORD our GOD, the LORD is ONE."
