Matthew 28:19-20 is called the great commission. Taking the gospel to the world. If you examine the world’s gospel it goes something like this; God died for you taking away your sins so that your immortal soul will go to heaven rather than hell. Is this the gospel? There are other groups that have different gospels that are just as incorrect. One of the great deceptions of Satan is to blind the minds of people so they do not understand the gospel. 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 . Jesus gave a sign of his return and the end of the age , Matthew 24:14 , how could this be a sign if the gospel had been preached all along? The great commission was fulfilled by the Apostles, we believe the gospel through their word, John 17:20 .
The Bible is the most printed book in the world with over 5 billion copies. The Apostles, even though dead, are yet preaching the gospel. When you consider what Satan has done how can the true gospel be preached today, and not just today, because mass deception entered long ago. If God did want to have the gospel preached today HE would do it but it is not. Taking the true gospel to the world today would require vast amounts of money and preachers who know the truth of the gospel. The sign Jesus gave will not be fulfilled until Revelation 14:6 . God does not want HIS church to be trying to fulfill a great commission because HE will have and angel do that. The saints today overcome the blind mind attack of Satan by Gods Holy Spirit that opens our minds to understand the gospel. It is given to us to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God but to others it is not. The rest are blinded because it is not their time as there is an order , a time , set by God , and each in their own order. God does this because HE is not willing that any should perish but all come to repentance. The church today should focus on growth in grace and knowledge by exercising the Spirit of the Father to overcome and endure to the end as the Elijah Spirit, the Holy Spirit, restores the truth that has been lost because of Satans lies. Matthew 17:11
