On the day of the LORD there will be "survivors from the nations," Isa 2:1-4 same as Micah 4:1-4; Ezek. 36:33-37;Amos 9:11-12; Isa 19; 16-25: when Israel would form a United Nations-type of Alliance with Egypt and Assyria, her mortal enemies; Isa 66.18-19; Zech. 14:16, NOTE the phrase in Isa 19.22 striking but healing, meaning the former pagan wicked nations will be restored in such a complete way, that they will even be called the people of God; Psalm 47:9 LXX, “The nobles of the nations assemble AS the people of the God of Abraham.”
This is the great "reversal of fortunes," i.e., the restoration of both Israel and all the nations, even their former enemy-nations.
Jeremiah speaks about Egypt, Moab, Ammon, Elam (Jer. 48.45-47; 49.6; 49.39); Moab will be restored to share in the Messianic Kingdom; Ezekiel describes the restoration of enemy-nations like Sodom & Samaria (Ezek. 16.53). This can only happen through a severe judgment and cleansing of the nations, see Jer. 12.14-17, via “uprooting them”; Zeph. 3.6-11, 20, cutting nations off, total devastation but then restoration!
