The Most Misquoted Verse of our Day | G3 Ministries

Excerpt:

It may come as a complete shock, but Jesus never condemned judgment. In fact, he commands that people engage in judgment. The statement by Jesus taken from his famous sermon known as the sermon on the mount. Jesus gathered his followers, apostles, and the growing curious souls from the surrounding communities together where he delivered his sermon with power and authority.

The statement by Jesus regarding judgment is centered on hypocritical judgment that refuses to judge properly. Therefore, to misinterpret Jesus’ “judge not” statement by imposing a meaning that prohibits judgment not only butchers Jesus’ intention, but it likewise proves that we must carefully and rightly interpret holy Scripture. In short, hermeneutics matters. How we interpret the Bible is foundational to the study of Scripture.

In this article it also says this: "In love, the church is to confront people in their sin with a goal of restoration (see Matt. 18:15-20). In love the church confronts unbelievers regarding their sin in evangelism (which is not sinful)".
Matthew 18:15-20 in my translations the matter concerns people in the church, not unbelievers. I don't think evangelism includes pointing to peoples sins. Jesus died for sins and he is the judge.
The article mentions Luke 6:37. In the One God Translation it says: 37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
he article also mentions Matthew 7:1 - “Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. (One God Translation)
This is pretty clear for me what Jesus says here.
Jesus did however condemn the hypocritical behavior of the spiritual leaders.
To the woman who was caught in adultery and had to be stoned according to her accusers, verse 10 says " When Jesus stood up he said to her, “Woman, where are your accusers? Has no one condemned you?” 11 She answered him, “No one, lord.” Jesus said, “I do not condemn you either. So leave, but do not sin anymore.” That's all he said to her.
The article concludes with: "Do not allow people to manipulate you by misquoting Jesus." This article is an interpretation.
Jesus teaches and judges with love, kindness, respect, righteousness and giving dignity to people, but he did not condemn the adulteress.
