This verse supports the truth that salvation is at the end received and not at death individually. The life received at that day is not eternal but everlasting. Yahweh is the only one who has eternal life, that is life with no beginning or end, whereas the saints, who have a beginning of life will have no end. We should not claim an attribute that belongs to Yahweh alone.
Valid point, but translators don't distinguish between "eternal" and "everlasting." This ignoring of nuance causes problems in many places. I think many intra-church conflicts occur because of translator missteps.
