In Romans 2:28-29 the apostle Paul defines what a true Jew is in Gods eyes. The words “circumcision is that of the heart” goes back to Acts 2:37 where it says, “when the people heard this they were cut to the heart”, they were circumcised in heart. Godly sorrow was produced in the hearts of those people that led to repentance and conversion so that about 3,000 became saints that day. Their are two kinds of Jews, the true spiritual and the shadow physical. The carnal shadow physical Jews are not the heirs of the promises God gave to Abraham. Romans 9:6-13 Now this directly ties in with the 144,000 mentioned in the book of Revelation. The elect saints are spiritual Israel and are the tribes mentioned in Revelation 7:4-8 . Romans 11:5-24 Paul explains how the branches of the unbelieving Israelites were broken off and the Gentiles grafted in. Paul mentions the root of the olive tree, Romans 11:13-18 , the root are the fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. All the people who are in Hebrews 11 are the root of the olive tree and predated the first advent, they were in Christ before Christ was born. These along with us who came after Christ are spiritual Israel, the elect saints of God and the 144,000 in the book of Revelation. The entire church before and after Christ are the 144,000 of the spiritual tribes of Israel. James addressed his book to, “the twelve tribes scattered abroad “, James 1:1 ,this was the church in his day he was writing too. Only God adds to the church such as should be saved. Acts 2:39 , Acts 2:47
This does not mean no one else will be saved because there are other groups that will also; the innumerable multitude, the millennium and second resurrection. Each person in the order God places them. This in no way shows partiality by God but rather mercy. This should never make anyone feel superior or inferior because we all were sinners worthy of death. We should not try to judge God on how He decided to do things. These scriptures show that the words Jesus spoke were true ; Matthew 22:14 , Matthew 7:13-14 , Matthew 13:11 , Luke 1:23-24 . There are far fewer than what has been thought.
