Very interesting..

I peep this either tonight or later. Having trouble sleeping again. Dude, I watched The Joker. 🤡 It was soo dark. It was kinda like The Devil's Rejects, where the director does everything he can to try and force you to root for the villain(s) who have been wronged by other villains.

The same! You doing ok? Family ok? Yes the Joker was difficult to watch. I need to go back to watching G-Rated Baking Championship Shows with my girls. I will get to this Rev video at some point.....

Ok, I listened to Part 1. I appreciate Dr. Smith's humbleness approaching this chapter. However, his belief that there is only 1 resurrection is shattered right here in Rev 20:4-5 -

Then I saw thrones, and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony of Jesus and because of the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and on their hand;

and 👉they👈 ➡️ 👉came to life (or lived again or they lived, aka the beheaded lived, as in the beheaded lived again)👈 and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.

👉🚨🚨The rest🚨🚨 of the dead👈

🛑did not🛑

👉come to life (or live again or live)👈until the thousand years were completed. This is the first resurrection.

Hey that is what I saw from reading the bible too. It harmonizes with Acts 24:15, some translations say resurrection of both the just and unjust, or righteous and wicked, and Contemporary English version "I am just as sure as these people are that God will raise from death everyone, good or evil." Everyone gets a resurrection. In reading through the New testament, those "in christ" or those who have Christ personality would help those in the 2nd resurrection. I think many people that have suffered from cruel people do not want to think that those individuals would get a resurrection. I understand that but God's love is different from human love. God's justice is different from human justice. We will all learn so much about our Heavenly Father and Jesus in the future when we see how these 2 resurrections play out.

God is a Father, how much do you love your children, i think of it as the same relationship. Of course with free will you do not want your child to jump off the roof of the building but you can't stop it either. for me the second resurrection is for those who have not yet accepted the messiah, a second chance if you will, but it is evident that there many who will never accept him and still blaspheme his name even in the fire. look at the world today and those who are being deceived now by new age and other pagan theologies, do you think they will accept God even in a second chance, i wonder maybe there so far gone they have already jumped,. this is why we pray for them, because they are our fathers children good or bad.

I really enjoyed these videos. I watched them awhile back, but haven't been able to comment on them. I left the borg in 2018, but after all that time studying I've embraced amillenialism. I think we are liable to make the same mistake that the jws make and that people like Mark Martin make when they pick and choose what is literal and what is symbolic. I feel like we are pretty blessed to understand that Revelation is symbolic. So when I hear people defend 144,000 as a symbolic number who turn right around and make the 1,000 years literal it makes me scratch my head.

The wording of Jesus' words always made me see one resurrection and two outcomes. Everyone is judged. So we must take symbolism and have it match literal things, not the other way around. We have no idea who is spiritually saved. We can look at someone who professes to be a Christian and have no idea of what they do in secret. Are they a teacher who is an evil slave? Beating people spiritually? Have they buried their talent? Do they not have enough oil for Jesus' return? No one can say that. And then we turn to the nations. So many people are happy to deny our Father and be the greatest of all time (a goat if you will), but there are people who are sheep. I can name people I know personally who don't know Jesus, but who helped and assisted me when I needed it. Even if not a Christian they are kind to us.

I don't necessarily think eschatology is a salvation doctrine, BUT I do think it could become one. Jesus said the only sin that's unforgivable is sinning against the Holy Spirit, so if how we think it will go down, doesn't happen, will we lose faith?

Leaving the jws made me obsessed with eschatology. Watching society cave under the guise of "peace and security" has also been eye-opening. I remember studying things Dec 2018/Jan 2019 and not thinking things would get bad anytime soon, to have those thoughts shattered in March 2020.

Maybe we need to be panmillemial? Knowing it will all pan out in the end.

God bless you guys! Grow in faith! Cultivate that relationship with Jesus! Love our Heavenly Father! Be filled with Spirit! Hold on for the ride!

Hello. Like you I was in a high control group, the Worldwide Church of God, Herbert W. Armstrong. In the WCG three resurrections were taught. The first of the saints, the second for the ignorant and the third for the incorrigible . Well there is no resurrection for the incorrigible because the blood of Christ will not cover the unpardonable sin. Hebrews 10:26-27 and also a third resurrection would mean some people would be resurrected twice, once in the second and again in the third. All people will only be resurrected once. Those who are incorrigible that are alive at the great white throne will be cast into the lake of fire, the second death and those who have died previously will never be resurrected.

Only people who have the Holy Spirit can commit the unpardonable sin . Hebrews 6:4-6 . Remember that all manner of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven neither in this age or the age to come. Matthew 12:31-32 Today God elects or chooses who is in the church and those with the Holy Spirit are rare but in the age to come God will pour out His Spirit on all flesh and they will know God. The kingdom of God is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three meas of meal until the whole was leavened. The three measures are the present time, the millennium and the second resurrection. Each one in the order God determines is best for them.
