The NT teaches that Christians are not under any obligation to observe/keep any day for religious purposes! Paul says as much in Rom 14.5a when he notes that “some think one day is more holy than another day, while others think every day is alike.”
Also, throughout his letters Paul, remember who he was now, the former “zealous-Torah-observant Pharisee,” compares the keeping of the Sabbath day to paganism! What he now calls “the spiritual forces/elements” of this present evil age.
Paul asks the church in Galatia:

You are trying to earn favor with God by observing certain days or months or seasons or years.”
And to the church in Colossae he warns:
“See to it that no one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the elemental spiritual forces of this world rather than on Christ.
So don’t let anyone condemn you for what you eat or drink, or for not celebrating certain holy days or new moon ceremonies or Sabbaths.”
