This Bible part came into my mind seeing this verse.
This is what the English translation of the Basic Bible says (Basic Bible) in 2 Timothy 3:14-17 - But you, Timothy, hold fast what you have learned. Never forget who you learned it from. You have known the Books since childhood. Through the Books you can become wise and prudent. They teach you how to be saved through faith in Jesus Christ. Everything that God has written in it is useful. It can teach people something, protect them from wrong teaching about the faith, and educate them to live the way God wants. In this way people can develop their faith into a mature faith. Then they will be suitable for any task. (read more)
