Dear friends,
I have reached out to the Spanish Association of Victims of Jehovah's Witnesses % Our mission Mission of the Spanish Association - AEVTJ (victimasdetestigosdejehova.org) and Lawyer Phd Professor Carlos Bardavío Antón because I believe that we should follow in their footsteps if we want to do more than we are doing now. I have copied and pasted their Mission Statement from their website because I believe that we should follow in their footsteps with these and more.
Our Mission
The Spanish Association of Victims of Jehovah's Witnesses (AEVTJ) has four fundamental missions of equal importance.
To bring together all those persons who consider themselves in some way victims of the organization of Jehovah's Christian Witnesses.
To help as much as possible people who wish to leave the organization of Jehovah's Witnesses in a dignified way, recommending the legal means that exist at our disposal, offering our experience and a space or meeting point to be able to download their experiences, give suggestions, receive advice, provide legal advice, moral help and psychological guidance to the associates.
To give visibility to society about the problems experienced by the victims of Jehovah's Witnesses, in order to prevent them, train and inform especially those people who consider an approach to this "religious organization" of sectarian behavior.
To lobby the different levels of government of the Spanish state in order to get Jehovah's Witnesses to regularize their behaviors within the legislation in force in the European area,
we rely on the European Convention on Human Rights (articles 9 and 10) and on the legislation of the Spanish state according to its constitution of 1978 (title I, Article 10)
If you agree that this is a good idea and that we would multiply our efforts and accomplish much more please reply to this email.
Carlos Bardavio has replied to this email and accepted Dan and Angela Clark's invitation to interview him.
Natan has replied to this email and has offered his interpreting skills in Spanish / English.
Dan and Angela have invited the president of the Spanish A of V of JW's and Natan for an interview.
In the meantime I shared this video Primera rueda de Prensa de la Asociación Española de Victimas de los Testigos de Jehová (youtube.com) it is in Spanish but there are English subtitles. This video presents the Spanish Association of Victims of Jehovah's Witnesses and why they founded an association and benefits of an association and the lawsuit they faced from the Watchtower and their win over the Watchtower.
Blessings,
Slavica
