Hello Petunia. All churches think they are the one true church, why would anyone be in a church if they did not believe that ? Even scripture confirms there is only one faith, one hope, one baptism. Ephesians 4:4
When examining the doctrines of churches none of them are in agreement on all things yet the true church is to be in agreement on all things. 1 Corinthians 1:10 The question then is which one of the 50,000 plus churches is the true church. This is a monumental task as each one must be thoroughly examined to see which one is the true. The problem with this is that it would take a lot of time. If you spend one month on each of the 50,000 churches it would take 4,166 years to go through them all.
Obviously this isn’t doable. The only possible way to find the one true church is if GOD draws you to HIMSELF through Jesus Christ. John 6:44,45,65 People have been making their own choices about what church they attend when scripture confirms that it is not our choice but GODS. GOD adds to the church such as should be saved. Acts 2:39,47
A person must be called and chosen by GOD to be in HIS church. The spiritual reality is that no one can choose to be in the true church, ALMIGHTY GOD must put you in.

Thanks LeeB, I do not believe there’s one group that knows it all. Since they all seem to mix truth and lies, my conclusion is that it is not the right time yet (Daniel 12:4).

I do enjoy my own Bible reading and doing research - it strengthens my faith - but at the same time I’m aware of the fact that I too don’t know it all. That’s why I like your comments, although I do not always understand them or agree with them - they often make me think or help me do more research.

Petunia, never give up your search, be diligent, learn from the spirit of Yahweh through Jesus Christ. I have found that GOD and Christ are the only true teachers and leaders. You are very correct on the mixing of truth and lies in the organizations of men, with GOD no lie is of the truth.
I gave up on men over 30 years ago and rely only on GOD and Christ.
As far as the timing it is always now. I see your passion and desire for the truth and I see your fear of being deceived again by men but if you eliminate men and deal only with GOD and Jesus your learning will increase and your fears will decrease.
There exists in this world an extremely small group of people called the elect, a people called and chosen by GOD . A study on the elect will reveal this. The elect are totally dependent on GOD and Christ for everything spiritual. You are correct that no one, not even the elect knows everything but the elect do know what is important to be successful in their calling and election. These elect are the Philadelphia church in Revelation 3:7-13 . In the information I have shared with you is spiritual wisdom but I can’t teach it to anyone, only share it, GOD through Christ must reveal it. Deuteronomy 29:29 Matthew 16:17 1 Corinthians 2:10 If anyone desires the truth they must go to GOD who does have it all and will not lie to you. GOD knows you heart (human spirit) believe and trust in HIM and HIS son the Christ.

Walter you are attempting to compare the rules of the old covenant with the life in the new covenant. Walter, there are two covenants, old and new. Christians are in the new but all other people not in Christ are still under the old and condemned by sin to everlasting death. There was absolutely no provision for life, forgiveness, mercy and salvation in the old covenant else there would have been no need for a new covenant. In this time and since the death of all the Apostles it became necessary for GOD to eliminate human ministry due to the mass deception that HE knew was coming. Today GODS saints are all prophets and prophetesses receiving their teaching from GOD through Christ, this eliminates the possibility of deception, and this is how it was in the first century church as Paul explained that he and Apollos could plant or water but it was GOD who had to give the increase. Paul and Apollos shared what GOD gave them with others but that was all they could do. Certain men have crept in unawares and have brought in damnable heresies. The deceptions you and I and all here have suffered are proof of what I say. Therefore should we continue to trust in men or GOD ? How many times must we be burned before we learn not to play with fire. Give up on men, all of them, go to GOD.
