This verse concerns the first of Tishri, the first day of the seventh month on the sacred calendar. It is called the feast of trumpets, an annual Sabbath or holy day in Israel. Leviticus 23:24-25 As verse 24 says, it is a day of rest, verse 25 says, you must not do any regular work. This day was one of seven annual Sabbaths written in the book of Moses.
