Do you meditate? How do you meditate? Do you have a fixed schedule?

Psalm 19:14 “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”

As JW’s meditation was thinking about paradise (see yourself in paradise), thinking about Gods love for us through Christ or thinking about how you could apply what they taught.

It was never about being quiet, not having thoughts - that was considered dangerous. If you empty your mind, you invite demons, they told us (Luke 11:24-26 was used).

What they didn’t tell you is that if you stop your busy activities and busy thoughts, if you would just breath, feel your body, if you just are, that’s when cognitive dissonance can hit you! Your inner voice gets room to speak!

Moreover God can speak to you!

How do you know if it’s your voice or Gods voice?

There is also another kind of meditation to regulate your nervous system, to deal with stress or trauma.

Breath is a gift of our Father - Acts 17:25
So is our conscience - Rom. 2:15
Our body can guide/ instruct us - Psalm 16:7

God expects us to use it all wisely! For me that rules out yoga. Some mindfulness exercises do not feel good as well. Others are really helpful.

These are my favorites:

Leaves on the stream: thoughts just come and go, look at your thoughts, not from your thoughts:

Acceptance of thoughts and feelings, learn to observe with compassion.

Reclaiming your inner child:

Your inner compass (focussing). Our body is always there to give us guidance:
