But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven. For he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.
To do this, we must focus on our Father and what He holds for our future. It is only by our trust in His plan that we can persevere sufficiently to pray for those who persecute us now, because we know that we will come to good in the end.
I confess that in all the ways agape may be applied this one is for me the most challenging. I realize it is Yahwehs agape and not mine that I must not grieve or quench. Jesus demonstrated agape to us and that is how through him we see the Father. If we endure to the end we experience not only immortality but also impeccability and this will be the fulfillment of , “Let us make man after our image and according to our likeness.”
