This song tugged beautifully at my heart too!
We have a family in our street with 2 boys (now men actually) dealing with autism. One doesn't talk much at all, and the younger has limited vocabulary. But whenever he sees us we are greeted with " how ya goin' mate? Good?". He always helps me out when I garden in our front yard, and thanks me for the opportunity when he has to go home, after all the " how ya goin' mate? Good?" expressions while he is helping.
I look forward to the time when our Lord Jesus will heal him and his brother in the age to come. But until then, this song reminded me that our compassion and love for others in their plights, helping them where and when we can is God's kingdom working now, if we will only respond to it. Thanks Shelley.
