Interesting what Jesus said here.

"....But you say,
‘If a man tells his father or his mother, “Whatever you would have gained from me is Corban”’ (that is, given to God)— then you no longer permit him to do anything for his father or mother, thus making void the word of God by your tradition that you have...."

I haven't done research on this yet, but my take away is to care for those of your own before the church
( or religious organization).

So how do these religions justify putting their interests/ projects for "God" above everything else?

Thoughts?

Hey buddy, how yous doing, eh?

I tells yous what, if I could I wud rent a Penske and drive up to Ottawa right now.

Concerning the scriptures noted, for today's example, if one's father & mother need financial assistance, then one should honor their parents and aid them, thereby fulfilling that particular commandment. Instead, the borg says no, whatever you have (including money) is given to God and therefore it goes to the borg. Therefore, the borg doesn't let one do anything for his father or mother.

NOTE: This just an example. I don't personally know if the borg is this nuts in most Kingdom Halls or not. But I bet there are churches that act like this, no doubt yo.
