The Bible as written words began with Moses. The law was revealed from God through Moses. Prior to Moses the law was unknown. Abraham was a gentile as were all before the law. Sin and death yet reigned by the sin of Adam. The way of faith, the new covenant was first revealed to gentiles as was circumcision. The gospel was preached to Abraham. Abraham received the promises . The law was only a shadow of all these things using carnal works of symbolism that had no substance. The light of Christ eliminated the shadows and Jesus fulfilled all the symbolism.
