Last Saturday I went to my local Synagogue service, BOY was that interesting!!!! I highly recommend it, it was so unique and eye opening. I understand why the Jews had to be told over and over about no idols. They walk the scroll through the aisles and everyone either touches it with their prayer books or their fringed wrap. Then when they go up to read from the scroll they take their fringe wrap touch the scroll then tough their lips to the fringe wrap. It was mostly in Hebrew but the prayer book had English translation. They went from page 70 to page 144. It was about 2 hours long and the up and down. It was nothing like I though or have seen before. Just so interesting.
On another Jewish interesting point that hit me this last week. I watch the YouTube channel Discovering the Jewish Jesus, he is a Christian Rabbi. He brought out the point when the Holy Spirit was poured out in the upper room after Christ death, those Christians were gather together to celebrate the Jewish festival of Pentecost. I guess I never paid much attention that Christian Jews of Jesus days still followed Jewish festivals. So why can't Christians today follow a festival or holiday? All very interesting to consider. Can you image in a JW told an Elder they were going to celebrate Pentecost? HAHAHAHHAA, I would love to hear that conversation!
