God cannot be tempted WITH EVIL. CUTTING OFF THESE LAST TWO WORDS CHANGES THE MEANING. Just because you are tempted does not mean the temptation is successful. Look at the temptation of Jesus, was the tempting of the devil successful ? Who won this contest ? And by the way, God can indeed be tempted but not with evil. This is exactly what James 1:13 recorded. Rather than a farce, the temptation of Jesus was proof that Jesus was indeed created in the image (nature ) of God. The divine nature you are to partake of at the resurrection. Jesus had this nature first, he was one with his God, if you see Jesus you see the Father. 2 Peter 1:4. Jesus fulfilled the law with agape, the identical agape of his God, agape is the fulfillment of the law. Agape cannot sin. Consider what you have done here and what I have written.

Well, I think that is was very important that Yahweh told us early one that he ALONE is God. If we claim that Jesus is also, we make Yahweh a deceiver. We know who the deceiver really is, and we seriously sin to say that Yahweh is. Using an interlinear bible, I put God's name back in the verses of our English bibles.

Is 37:16 “O LORD of hosts Yahweh, God of Israel, enthroned above the cherubim, you are the God, you alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; you have made heaven and earth.

Is 37:20 So now, our God Yahweh, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that you alone are the LORD.”

Is 42:8. I am Yahweh; that is my name; my glory I give to no other, nor my praise to carved idols.

Is 44:8. Fear not, nor be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? And you are my witnesses! Is there a God besides me? There is no Rock; I know not any.”

The issue for me with respect to James 1:13 is that trying to reason that Jesus is not God will not work with this verse because in order to do this one must cut off the last two words, “ with evil”. This is altering scripture to prove a lie. Unitarians are as guilty as trinitarians when they do this. I have a post called, A man like us in every way, where I offer abundant evidence in scripture that Jesus had the express image, nature, in agape and righteousness as Yahweh. Ezekiel 22:30 , this shows us that none of the children of the first Adam were able to stand in the gap. Moses was a type of Christ, Psalm 106:23 , Isaiah 63:5 the arm of Yahweh was Jesus, Isaiah 59:16 . There was none righteous, no not one. Yahweh had to create a man who would be in HIS own express image of HIS character of agape and righteousness. Hebrews 1:3 the Greek word here for express is Strongs G5481 it means, character, exact reproduction. Unitarians, without realizing it actually strip away the very things Yahweh created HIS son with in order for Jesus to be the messiah. This error also leads to them saying Jesus could have sinned. Unitarians in their zeal to prove Jesus is not Yahweh have a mindset of denying anything that gives the Christ qualities of Yahweh. This mindset actually denies Christ and how Yahweh created him.

Well, this is lengthy, but it is most of the passages that I feel should provide irrefutable evidence - especially since Yahweh stated that HE alone is God.

Mt 10:19–20 When they deliver you over, do not be anxious how you are to speak or what you are to say, for what you are to say will be given to you in that hour. For it is not you who speak, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.

Mt 12:15–21 Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. And many followed him, and he healed them all and ordered them not to make him known. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: “Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved with whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles. He will not quarrel or cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets; a bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not quench, until he brings justice to victory; and in his name the Gentiles will hope.”

Luke 1:35 And the angel answered her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; therefore the child to be born will be called holy—the Son of God.

Jn 17:1–4 When Jesus had spoken these words, he lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify your Son that the Son may glorify you, since you have given him authority over all flesh, to give eternal life to all whom you have given him. And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent. I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work that you gave me to do.

1 Co 8:4–6 Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one. For although there may be so-called gods in heaven or on earth—as indeed there are many “gods” and many “lords”— yet for us there is one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist, and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things and through whom we exist.

1 Co 15:21–28. For as by a man came death, by a man has come also the resurrection of the dead. For as in Adam all die, so also in Christ shall all be made alive. But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ. Then comes the end, when he delivers the kingdom to God the Father after destroying every rule and every authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For “God has put all things in subjection under his feet.” But when it says, “all things are put in subjection,” it is plain that he is excepted who put all things in subjection under him. When all things are subjected to him, then the Son himself will also be subjected to him who put all things in subjection under him, that God may be all in all.

1 Co 15:45–46 Thus it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. But it is not the spiritual that is first but the natural, and then the spiritual.

Col 2:9–12 For in him the whole fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you have been filled in him, who is the head of all rule and authority. In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the powerful working of God, who raised him from the dead.

1 Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus,

Heb 3:1–3 Therefore, holy brothers, you who share in a heavenly calling, consider Jesus, the apostle and high priest of our confession, who was faithful to him who appointed him, just as Moses also was faithful in all God’s house. For Jesus has been counted worthy of more glory than Moses—as much more glory as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself.

1 Pe 1:3–5 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

To know the one true Yahweh is indeed extremely important, but some seem to have an obsession with proving it. There is abundant proof and you have listed some of them. The ancient Israelites knew this also but they lacked other important knowledge. If the saints over focus on this issue it will limit their further instruction by the holy spirit to gain new understanding because of a topic already proven. We must look forward, thankful for those things that have been revealed and seeking those things yet to learn.
