Current events in the Middle East , the war Israel is fighting against the Hezbollah, Hamas and Houthis who are all supported by Iran. The possible development of nuclear weapons by Iran and the fact that Israel has had nuclear weapons since at least the early 1970’s is a situation , a pot ready to boil over. I would not be so quick to dismiss the possibility of a limited nuclear event especially if Israel becomes overwhelmed by her enemies. I have written about the Sampson option, a plan by Israel to use their nuclear weapons in the event they would be overwhelmed.
In 1973 during the Yom Kippur war when Golda Meir was Israel’s prime minister. Israel was being overwhelmed by an attack by Egypt, Syria and Jordan . Since the Arabs were being supplied by the Soviet Union U.S. president Nixon refused to send aid to Israel as that could lead to a conflict. Golda Meir ordered the arming of 13 nuclear bombs, she was ready to use the Sampson option. Nixon sent the aid the very next day.
Joe Biden has already withheld aid to Israel and has reopened the flow of money to Iran that Trump had stopped thus enabling Iran to fund terror. The war in Ukraine is another possibility of using nuclear weapons. This world is a very dangerous place.
