The lesson to learn is to completely ignore man and depend on God. Anyone who follows a man is deceived. Preachers, ministers, pastors, evangelists or any other title are people who are nothing more than an extra mediator when Jesus is the only mediator and when they say they can teach they try to take the place of the Holy Spirit that is the only power that can teach and lead us to truth. They claim to win souls for Jesus when in fact the souls of the saved have already been recorded in the lambs book of life from the foundation of the world. The days of the organized church as it was in the first century are over since the apostle John died. Today God controls everything through Jesus and men are totally out of the picture.
