I have not seen any coverage about this in U.S. media. Israel is in the process of becoming a theocracy. The recent election in Israel resulted in Benjamin Netanyahu being elected again as prime minister. The reason for his victory is because a group of ultra Orthodox Jews in the Knesset hold a large percentage of votes that they gave to Netanyahu upon his willingness to help them change Israel into a monarchy and rebuild the temple. If this is successful it has tremendous meaning in prophecy. I recommend that you get online and read the Jerusalem Post, The Times of Israel, Haaretz or Arutz Sheva about these events. This has caused quite a stir in Israel and the Arab world.

After Solomon died his son Rehoboam became king. The people wanted him to lower their taxes but he refused, as as consequence ten tribes of the north broke away and called themselves Israel while the southern called itself Judah. They never united again. The ten tribes later because of idolatry were carried away by the king of Assyria and never heard from again and about 130 years later the southern kingdom Judah was carried away to Babylon but returned to Jerusalem 70 years later.
This news from Israel about changing their government from democracy to theocracy is a necessary step toward fulfilling prophecy. They intend to go back to the Law of Moses, reinstate the sacrifices and have a king messiah. Our group here has been expecting this to happen . We will watch events closely to see if this is indeed what will lead to the 10 nation alliance, the 7 year treaty of the man of sin.
Ephraim and Manasseh were the two sons born to Joseph in Egypt. Genesis 48:22 , Jacob/Israel gave Joseph a double portion that became the inheritance of Ephraim and Manasseh who Jacob adopted as his own, Genesis 48:13-20 , the tribe of Joseph became two tribes and later were conquered by the Assyrians and removed from their land becoming part of the lost ten tribes.
