Sometimes, I am drawn to ponder verses that I have seen so many times previously, but this time my thoughts run a new path instead of the familiar ones. It happened with this one:

Luke 10:26-28 And He said to him, "What is written in the law? How do you read it?" Then he answered and said, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself." And He said to him, "You have answered correctly. Do this, and you shall live.

The "lawyer" made the statement that seems the same one that Yeshua would have said. From all the scriptural evidence, Yeshua would have considered only His Father as "the Lord your God." He never claimed to be God or He may have said "You shall love Me and my Father."

So, what about those who think that Yeshua is God? Does this "all your heart, all your soul, and all you strength" be divided 50/50? Oh, wait, I left out Holy Spirit - that would be "33 1/3, 33 1/3, and 33 1/3." But then haven't we been told that "all means all?"

I've never heard anyone question that before until the question hit me like a new message.

Heart, soul, strength and mind covers absolutely everything that you and I are. Our allegiance to GOD is 100% we cannot have an ivory soap commitment of 99 44/100 % This is why we are to constantly examine ourselves to see if we are indeed in the faith or not. Having faith in anyone or anything other than GOD becomes an idol in their hearts. Ezekiel 14:3 We are to seek GODS kingdom above all else and have nothing to do with any other kingdom, Matthew 6:33 , after all we are citizens only of GODS kingdom, Philippians 3:18,19,20 Ephesians 2:19 Hebrews 11:13,14,15,16 Colossians 3:1,2,3,4 We are to live as Abraham did, a stranger in the land of promise, Hebrews 11:13 We live in a world that we are not a part of as ambassadors of that kingdom we are already citizens of.

Your thoughts along this new path are indeed even more spiritual evidence to confirm the spiritual truth of the one true GOD. This is indeed a marvelous thing however in my experiences of an epiphany there is always more than one message in it. The words, “do this and you shall live”, the degree in which we must love this GOD, Just how far does it go, what are the demands on us in expressing our love to and for GOD ? Are there any exceptions or no exceptions, complete or partial dedication. How do we make the connections needed to understand ? Precept upon precept and line upon line, connecting spiritual things with spiritual, thinking of heavenly things, eliminating the carnal things. Ask, seek and knock. Hunger and thirst for truth. This is how we , “do this and you shall live.”
