Wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, spiritual discernment, tongues, and interpretation of tongues are the gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 All but the last two concerning tongues are yet present in the church. Tongues are no longer needed as the true church is scattered to the four winds having members in very small groups that speak the same language. On the day of Pentecost, Jews from many different nations were in Jerusalem to keep the annual feast days. Acts 2:5–12 These Jews could not normally communicate with one another due to this language barrier, therefore the gifts of tongues was given. Tongues was also a valuable tool for the Apostles in preaching the gospel for the same reason. Today, the true church is not preaching the gospel because they know that is the job of the Holy Spirit. It is how they were taught and it is how all others will be taught because of the many false gospels circulating the world today. In the future, the two witnesses and an angel will preach the true gospel to all nations and then the end will come; think, if the true gospel had been preached all along how could it be a sign of the return of Jesus and the end of this age ? Matthew 24:14 Tongues is not glossolalia, or gibberish, but a spiritual language making possible communication between peoples of different languages. Today there are churches that “speak Tongues and interpret “ using gibberish in speaking and interpretation. These false churches go so far as to say that if you do not speak Tongues you don’t have the Holy Spirit, when it is they who do not. The only true sign that you are indeed converted and belong to Christ is Godly love, agape, in you. John 13:34-35 1 Corinthians 13:13 Romans 5:5 The other seven gifts that remain in the true church are all controlled by God through Christ to us, not by us. If any of these gifts work it will be God who works them. Just as it was for Jesus it is for the church. John 5:30-32 So then, it is my hope that in your small group wherever you were carried by the winds is richly blessed with the remaining seven gifts of the Spirit of God.
