GENESIS - ANOTHER LOOK​

Genesis 1:1 is a general statement that Yahweh created the heavens and the Earth. Genesis 1:2 the word “was” is the Strongs article H1961 meaning to become or come to pass. The word “form” in Strongs H8414 meaning to lie waste or a worthless thing, confusion, empty place. The word “void” in Strongs H922 meaning empty or a ruin. So then when we apply the Hebrew to Genesis 1:2 it would be like this; “and the Earth became or came to pass a waste or worthless thing , confusion an empty place and darkness, misery, destruction and death upon the face of an abyss. This verse is not the account of the original creation of the Earth but, a record of severe damage caused to the Earth. The Earth was already there but nearly destroyed. I think this destruction was caused by the rebellion of Satan and the following verses show Yahweh repairing the damage and preparing Earth for humans. Before this destruction the angels inhabited Earth and Earth was vastly different. Earth had huge creatures and vegetation that scientists dig up today and study. Up until the fourth day of this creation week there was no sun, no time and nothing else, just the Earth. The glory of Yahweh was Earths light and time itself did not exist. On the fourth day Yahweh created time and the rest of the physical universe. Genesis 1:14-19 The separation of light from darkness in Genesis 1:3,4,5 was Yahweh separating HIS kingdom from that of Satans. I think that the reason Satan rebelled was that he discovered Yahwehs plan to make a man who would be HIS son and inherit all that Yahweh created. Satans pride and vanity flared because he thought that he should be the heir and led a rebellion with a third of the angels against Yahweh but was cast down. Satan now wants to destroy Yahwehs heir and humanity that has the potential to share in Christs inheritance. This will not happen because the son of Yahweh will destroy the works of Satan. 1 John 3:8 . The Earth is the oldest object in all the universe. Humans were created on the sixth day, the second day after time began on the fourth day. If there is other intelligent life in the universe they would be no older than humans and no further advanced technologically. The weekly sabbath is based on time and time began on the fourth day, so there were only three days that passed until Yahweh stopped working. If a week is seven days “in time”then the sabbath was on a Wednesday; the fourth day like a Sunday was the beginning of time and three days later is a Wednesday. There is no connection between the seventh day of creation to the seventh day of the week “in time”. Yahweh gave Israel a day in time to memorialize the creation that was not the actual day just as the physical rest is unrelated to the spiritual rest. Stopping physical work has no bearing on salvation it is working in the law that cannot bring salvation but if you stop working in the law to let the spirit of Yahweh work in you by HIS agape then this is salvation. Romans 11:6 , Romans 4:4,5 The law was only a shadow of the good things to come in Christ. Christ, the second Adam is the beginning of Genesis 2 the real and true creation Yahweh desires. The law came by Moses but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. John 1:17 , Revelation 3:14 KJV

Again, I am having a Twilight Zone moment here. For you to post this at the same time that I am having a conversation with someone about this. I really like this topic.

I do have a different take on the "rest of the universe" however. I think the universe already existed but was blanked out in order for the Earth to exist in darkness. On the fourth day, after Yahweh was the source of light for Earth for the previous three days (and for plants that were spoken into existence on day 3), Yahweh let the stars appear to those on Earth. He replaced His light with the Sun's light. This is the event that divided time into days, weeks, months, and years because it became regulated by the apparent movement of the sun and moon.

I know it is not an "Earth Shattering" difference to reality, just my thoughts.

The universe is time , space, matter and energy. It was not until the fourth day that these things existed as they do today. The flow of events from day one to the next and what took place on each day had to be how things came to be. Yahweh spoke on each day, HIS words recorded and what HE spoke became. I confess that when this first came into my mind I had difficulty understanding it but over time it worked out.
