The light called Day and the darkness called Night had nothing to do with the sun and the moon by the way:

Genesis 1:14 And God said, “Let there be lights in the vaulted dome of heaven ⌊to separate day from night⌋, and let them be as signs and for appointed times, and for days and years, 15 and they shall be as lights in the vaulted dome of heaven to give light on the earth.” And it was so. 16 And God made two great lights, the greater light to rule the day and the smaller light to rule the night, and the stars. 17 And God placed them in the vaulted dome of heaven to give light on the earth 18 and to rule over the day and over the night, and to ⌊separate light from darkness⌋. And God saw that it was good.

The light from the first day to the end of the third day in Genesis 1:1-3 is the same light recorded in Revelation 21:23 . On the fourth day YAHWEH created the sun, moon , stars or the entirety of the physical universe. This means that Earth is the oldest planet in the universe. What we see in the creation account is actually a recreation, the Earth was already there but in a state of , “tohu and bohu” , or formless and void that was caused by the angelic rebellion of Lucifer. This was YAHWEH preparing Earth for humanity. The pre Adamic world was the first estate of the angels and had giant vegetation and animals. Today paleontologists discover the remains of these plants and animals . It is impossible to calculate the age of the Earth because the very things we use to measure time did not exist until the fourth day.
